Addressing Homelessness
My philosophy on homelessness is grounded in compassion and realism. We must provide emergency shelter as a basic safety net—no one should freeze to death. But real solutions go further, creating ladders out of homelessness through housing, healthcare, and jobs for those who seek help. At the same time, we must recognize that not everyone experiencing homelessness shares the same values or goals. Our aim should be dignity, independence, and the responsible use of resources.
